Then What’s Next?

Just as Einstein’s Theory of Relativity didn’t also provide a new technology, decades ahead of its time, able to measure gravitational waves, and an empirical measurement using said technology of the existence of gravitational waves… He merely predicted them…

Just as Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species’ didn’t additionally provide an observation of the structure of DNA, formed into genes, composed of four specific amino acids, with the DNA sequenced of various finches, with every gene of said finches mapped, demonstrating the specific genes and corollary amino acid sequence variations which comprised said observational genetic variations of beaks over generations of finches… Darwin merely predicted the goal for action in the world (i.e., natural selection) of the mechanism of genetics…

The MoM consciousness theory has yet to empirically demonstrate, but predicts:

  • The right approach to studying consciousness is factor analysis. Factor analysis is a statistical analysis methodology, common in research, which conceptually identifies the unique, big picture concepts among data sets.

    • E.g., Factor analysis is the means by which various notions such as Intelligence quotient and measures of personality psychology have been derived, among various constructs of various fields.

    • Factors (termed dimensions under the MoM theory) of human consciousness may include but are not limited to IQ, personality (specifically the five-factor model of personality), perceptual richness, and perceptual discrimination richness.

  • Ample opportunity exists to study both animal models and human models of consciousness factor-analytically.

    • Particularly, the organism C. Elegans with a fully mapped nervous system of 302 neurons and extensive research of its epigenetic mechanisms, provides unique opportunity to parse a specific modularity (and subsequently dimensions) of consciousness along with the corollary goals, actions, and mechanisms.
